| Members of Gere Branch Library's Teen Advisory Board have been brightening up the step-stools that our young patrons use to reach the self-checkout machines and the checkout desk. This is one of many ways our volunteers make the Libraries better! |

Thanks Ambatadors!
November 24, 2009 by willa
I want to give a shout out to the Ambatadors -Tayce and Alex- who volunteered at the Families Matter event on Saturday, November 14 at the Children’s Museum. Now, not everyone has what it takes to dress up in a bat suit complete with a cape and pointy ears, but these ladies did not hesitate. Children were running this way and that, anxious to explore all the museum had to offer, and we were right in the middle of the ruckus. Alex and Tayce attracted families to our table by offering stickers and coloring sheets to the kids. I talked to several people who did not yet have a library card and explained how to obtain one. I think we will see several new families visit the libraries thanks to the exposure from this event. Overall, we estimated that at least 100 people visited our booth. Thanks Alex and Tayce for your help in promoting Lincoln City Libraries!
